Lead Data Architect, SYD 85
The United States Space Force (USSF) is seeking a Lead Data Architect to support strategic planning efforts regarding data processing and integration across various mission and operational space data. The role involves ensuring alignment with agency priorities, delivering reports and presentations, and leading future architecture and design for the Data Federation portfolio.

Responsibilities
Candidate is expected to contribute to strategic planning efforts by identifying how data is processed, protected, persistent, integrated/federated with other data repositories, and disseminated across a wide variety of mission and operational space data
Need to support agency priorities and performance goals, ensuring alignment with the mission of the unit and the broader agency; deliver reports, presentations, and briefings to support leadership decision-making and stakeholder communication
Position will be expected to lead future architecture and design for the Data Federation portfolio
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S Citizen
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret / SCI security clearance
Safeguards classified or sensitive budget-related information and/or files
May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis
Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed 'Unscheduled Telework'
This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first
Employee may be required to perform travel by military or commercial passenger aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments
PCS / relocation funding is not authorized
This position has been designated for drug testing. Incumbent is subject to random urinalysis testing as a condition of employment
Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): 15 days a year
Employee must within 30-days of assuming this position and by 31 October annually thereafter, file an OGE-450, 'Confidential Financial Disclosure Report
This position is designated a NON-CRITICAL APDP position
This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). Unless specifically waived by the appropriate component official
The employee must meet the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position
This is a cybersecurity position; the employee will attain appropriate DoD approved cybersecurity baseline certificate(s) applicable for cybersecurity functions required for the DoD position
Bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science
Preferred
STEM degree (BS, MS or PhD); preferably computer science, data engineering, or systems engineering
Experience with the Department of War (DoW) and Department of the Air Force (DAF) data governance, data sharing and security protocols
