Senior Project Manager, HR

The Senior Project Manager, P&O will partner with the Vice President to create comprehensive project plans, manage simultaneous tasks, and ensure the successful execution of strategic initiatives within the organization.

Responsibilities

Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team
Project Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
Project Execution: Lead and manage all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to project plans, budgets, and timelines. Monitor project progress, track milestones, and communicate updates to stakeholders. Create and/or deliver presentations to stakeholder groups regarding progress of strategic projects
Resource Management: Identify and allocate project resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget. Coordinate with team members and departments to ensure availability and utilization of resources
Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Assign tasks, set clear expectations, and facilitate effective communication and coordination among team members
Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including senior management, and technical teams. Regularly communicate project status, risks, and issues, and manage stakeholder expectations
Risk Management: Identify, address, and proactively mitigate project risks. Develop risk management strategies and contingency plans to minimize potential disruptions. Monitor and escalate issues as necessary
Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet established quality standards
Change Management: Evaluate change requests and assess their impact on project scope, schedule, and budget. Manage change requests, communicate changes to stakeholders, and implement adjustments while minimizing disruptions
Document and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, schedules, status reports, and RAID logs. Prepare comprehensive project reports for stakeholders and senior management. Establish relevant tools, dashboards, and KPIs for project reporting
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization in project management practices. Gather lessons learned from completed projects and apply them to enhance future project outcomes

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in Project Management, P&O, Digital Technology or related field is required
7+ years project experience as a Project Manager or in a similar role
Experience working in a hybrid project delivery environment (Agile and Waterfall)
Solid knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
Proficiency in project management software and collaboration tools
Solid understanding of project management systems and infrastructure
Leadership and team management skills
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proven ability to identify and mitigate project risks
Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements, priorities, and technologies

Preferred

Professional certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) preferred
