Technology Account Manager / CISCO Equipment Supplier

They are seeking a Technology Account Manager to manage small and medium customer accounts, expand sales, and ensure customer satisfaction through proactive outreach and collaboration with the customer support team.

Responsibilities

Manage and farm Small/Medium Accounts
Call and convert 5% of your 300+ accounts into new business each quarter
Service high volume house accounts that regularly purchase from us
Help customers build orders . If a purchase order is received, send the P.O. to our customer service team to build the cart on our website to buy it for them. Or save it as a quote and email the customer a checkout link
Proactively call accounts often. Dig within your accounts to build relationships with people throughout the account
Review customer orders to understand what they are purchasing. Use this information to upsell and cross-sell more products they likely need but are not already purchasing
Project manage more complex purchases when inventory isn’t always available or isn’t available exactly as described by the customer
Manage blanket purchase orders from customers who purchase in bulk, in advance
Maintain customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction while our support team manages our customers’ product and delivery issues
For the purchase of Servers, work with our vendor to price or custom spec

Qualification

Required

2+ years of proven inside sales, account management or business development experience
Industry experience selling Cisco hardware, preferably in Ethernet, Fiber, and PoE. Networking and other hardware are essential
Confident to ask appropriate questions to understand customer needs and to recommend the right products
Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with customers, vendors and co-workers
Detailed minded with a commitment to quality, accuracy, professionalism, and continuous improvement
Skilled with searching for detailed technical products and pricing information
Computer savvy to effectively quote and process orders with a customer-oriented mind-set
Determined, driven and to succeed
