Strategic Advisor
JMJ Phillip Group is seeking a Strategic Advisor to join a small, high-impact Advisory Board for a growing brand. This non-fiduciary role involves providing practical insights to senior leadership based on prior experience in larger organizations, helping to anticipate challenges and guide growth strategies.

Responsibilities
Participate in quarterly advisory meetings (approximately two hours each), either in person in Detroit or via video conference
Review and provide feedback on:
Growth strategy and key business initiatives
Organizational structure and leadership development
Sales, talent, or operational challenges aligned to area of expertise
Offer practical, experience-based insight rooted in prior operating roles
Ask constructive, candid questions and challenge assumptions when appropriate
Serve as a trusted external perspective for the client’s senior leadership team
Provide limited availability between meetings for targeted follow-up questions or brief calls, as needed
Qualification
Required
Time Commitment: ~8–12 hours per year
Meeting Cadence: Quarterly (approximately 2 hours per session)
Compensation: Annual stipend
Term: Initial 12-month term, renewable annually
Candidates should bring deep, hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: Sales & Revenue Growth, Business Strategy & Organizational Scaling, Human Resources & Talent Management, Leadership & Management Development

Track record of helping organizations scale without sacrificing performance or culture
Strong operator mindset with the ability to translate experience into actionable guidance
Direct, pragmatic, and credible communication style
