Responsibilities

Own the daily newsletter —crafting engaging, well-written newsletters that reflect the best things happening in your city
Grow our newsletter audience —applying tactics to increase subscribers and ensure strong engagement
Maintain a high-quality website —curating event listings, updating venue and artist pages, and ensuring our content is useful and fresh
Execute sponsored content —integrating partner promotions naturally into our newsletters and website
Drive audience growth and engagement —analyzing performance metrics and iterating to improve open rates, click rates, and site traffic
Manage social media channels —creating content, engaging with followers, and ensuring our creator network is pushing out the appropriate amount of content to keep our channels active and engaged
Manage local partnerships and community engagement —collaborate with venues, artists, and brands to secure ticket giveaways, exclusive promotions, and unique experiences for our audience. Respond to user inquiries across email, social, and other platforms to ensure a seamless and engaging experience
Ensure brand consistency and editorial quality —writing with a defined voice, maintaining high standards, and ensuring a seamless experience across platforms
Build and oversee a network of content creators & freelancers who specialize in areas like music, food, or niche events to ensure well-rounded content coverage

Someone obsessed with newsletters —you subscribe to them, read them, analyze them, and would be excited to write one every day
A strong, engaging short-form writer who can craft compelling newsletters and web content
Deeply connected to your local music, arts, and entertainment scene—you know the best venues, artists, and events happening each week
Detail-oriented —you spot typos before anyone else, and accuracy is second nature
Regularly engaged in local culture and events —you go to concerts, comedy shows, festivals, and more
Self-motivated —you don't need someone looking over your shoulder to stay productive
An active consumer of local and national newsletters, music blogs, and culture sites
Comfortable working with digital tools like CMS platforms, marketing software, and analytics

Preferred

Experience managing contributors or freelancers is a plus
Already use Do713
Have experience growing and managing newsletter lists
Have a background in digital marketing, editorial writing, or audience development
Have experience working in the music or entertainment industry
Have experience with Google Analytics, SEO, or newsletter performance optimization
Maintain a badass social media presence we can check out
