Responsibilities

Execute projects following established project management processes while upholding safety and quality standards
Learn how to operate equipment and develop training materials, including standard operating procedures, time studies, equipment capability and repeatability studies
Work on Engineering teams to identify issues, collect appropriate supporting data, develop, and present improvement ideas, and implement solutions
Lead 'Root Cause Analysis' investigations when unplanned downtime occurs
Develop and maintains relationship and communication between suppliers, engineers, technical planners, storeroom, mechanics and production line workers
Present findings to other functions within the company and seeks feedback
Multi-task and prioritize time appropriately between different projects

Required

Currently enrolled at a college or university and working towards a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Management OR possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Management
Available for the entire duration of the internship program (6 consecutive months)
Requires availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays when necessary
Required to have reliable transportation to and from work
Required to lift and move up to 50 lbs
Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation
Required to be 18 years or older

Preferred

Junior or Senior class standing at a college or university and working towards a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Management
Strong applied technical skills and analytical problem-solving skills
Good oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and team skills and experience managing multiple assignments
Comfortable in a manufacturing environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects)
Basic knowledge of statistical analysis methods
Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving skills
