Land Stewardship Intern
Blandford Nature Center is seeking a Land Stewardship Intern to assist with various projects related to habitat maintenance and restoration. The role involves trail maintenance, leading volunteer groups, and supporting general grounds maintenance activities.

Responsibilities
Survey for invasive plants and tree diseases
Removal of invasive plants using manual methods and herbicide application
Assist with habitat restoration projects
Trail maintenance, including mowing of trails
Maintain landscaped areas and native plant gardens
Qualification
Required
Two years of college-level courses or equivalent experience. Primary interest areas could include environmental science, natural science, biology, natural resource management, parks and recreation management or related field
Excellent judgement, reliability, flexibility, independence, energy, and the ability to demonstrate positive role modeling, attitude, and behavior
Ability to work and communicate effectively with all staff, volunteers, and visitors
Must possess or be able to obtain a Commercial Pesticide Applicators License

Preferred
Classwork or experience in botany or plant science
Experience in landscaping, garden maintenance, or invasive plant control
