Responsibilities
Draft, edit, and finalize technical engineering reports based on field surveys, notes, photographs, drawings, and survey engineer input
Perform quality control reviews to ensure reports are accurate, complete, consistent, and professionally presented
Provide high level technical support to internal Engineering Services team and others as needed on MEP and commercial building topics
Verify alignment between written findings, photographs, tables, and CAD-style drawings
Identify discrepancies, missing information, or unclear technical statements and clarify for client deliverables
Complete site surveys using client specific templates and APS QC standards
Prepare summaries, findings, and recommendations for commercial property assessments
Maintain report formatting, templates, and QC standards
Qualification
Required
5+ years in the trades, commercial property assessments, building inspections, or related fields
Experience writing technical, inspection, or engineering-style reports
Strong understanding of commercial building systems and observed-condition reporting
Excellent written communication and editing skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Willingness to travel occasionally for field work
Working knowledge of Electrical Systems
Working knowledge of Mechanical / HVAC Systems / Fire Protection
Working knowledge of Building and Construction
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
Familiarity with PDF editing and markup tools
Ability to read and interpret CAD-style drawings (AutoCAD experience a plus)
