Business Development Partner (Commission-Based)

Make Cool Sh*t is a creative agency focused on strategic brand development. They are seeking a Business Development Partner to own the business development process, including prospecting, qualifying, and closing deals with clients.

Design

Responsibilities

Prospect and close $10K to $50K creative engagements (brand systems, web builds, content retainers)
Qualify inbound leads and convert them into signed contracts (we generate leads through our website, podcast, and referrals — your job is to close them, not build the pipeline from scratch)
Manage your own pipeline (we will give you the tools, but you run the process)
Build long-term client relationships so renewals and upsells happen naturally
Average sales cycle is 2 to 4 weeks from first call to signed contract

Required

You have sold creative services, marketing, or agency work before (you understand the buyer and the sales cycle)
You are comfortable working commission-only because you know you can close
You do not need hand-holding or a massive marketing budget to generate pipeline
You understand that founder-led businesses move fast and expect results, not excuses
You are not looking to 'learn sales' (we need a closer, not a trainee)
You are not expecting a base salary or benefits (this is pure performance-based compensation)
You are not someone who needs a CRM built for you, a marketing team, or a script (you figure it out)
