The Market Data Associate will support the Market Data Director by managing vendor relationships, overseeing data procurement processes, and collaborating with investment teams to enhance research services globally.

Responsibilities
Develop and refine essential procedures and processes as business needs evolve and expand
Manage relationships with external consultants and key third-party vendors on new solutions, initiatives, and related agreements and invoices
Serve as a project manager involving key market data initiatives & strategic research projects
Negotiate contracts and manage the data procurement and information lifecycle needs across Platform Services and business units
Internally communicate compliance of risk and legal guidelines for use of data and research
Lead and coordinate requirements with Legal, Compliance and stakeholders during vendor onboarding process
Responsible for contract-related correspondence, documentation, reporting, inventory management, and budgeting in ServiceNow, Workday, and internal market data inventory management system
Co-manage firm-wide subscriptions
Budget forecasting & reporting, e.g. manage budget to actuals
Backup for access management workflow
Maintain and provide input on market data and research best practices & policies
Collaborate across various teams to help develop research processes and new solutions
Work proactively with global investment professionals and RDS team members to anticipate ongoing information needs and help identify opportunities for research collaboration
Other projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Able to work efficiently in a high-paced environment and handle frequent changes or unexpected events while providing a high level of customer service
Ability to think critically, strong analytical skills & complex problem solving
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly across different audiences globally
Comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy managing multiple projects and complex situations
Manage time effectively, multi-task, and meet deadlines with quality and consistency
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, project management, and problem-solving skills are critical
Minimum of 1 - 3 years working in a market data and/or project management role
Strong Excel skills are necessary
Undergraduate degree from a respected institution required
