Part-Time Bookkeeper
Ledgent is a mission-driven nonprofit organization serving the Portland community. The Part-Time Bookkeeper will manage day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate records to support the organization's operations.
Responsibilities
Record and reconcile daily financial transactions in QuickBooks (or similar accounting software)
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor payments and donor contributions
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and assist with financial reporting for leadership and board meetings
Maintain accurate documentation for audits and compliance requirements
Support payroll processing and ensure timely tax filings in coordination with external providers
Assist with budget tracking and grant reporting as needed
Qualification
Required
2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (nonprofit experience preferred)
Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Preferred
nonprofit experience preferred
Familiarity with nonprofit financial practices and compliance is a plus
