E-com-Manual QA Engineer- eBay Live Interactive online shopping live streaming
Ampstek is seeking a Manual QA Engineer to ensure the quality and performance of the eBay Live interactive shopping experience. The role involves collaborating with various teams to validate livestream workflows and ensure stable releases for a seamless user experience.
Responsibilities
Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test suites for eBay Live features across iOS, Android, and Web
Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for livestream workflows
Validate livestream performance, latency, video/audio integrity, and multi-participant interactions
Test chat, engagement tools (likes, comments), discoverability modules, and purchase flows during live events
Conduct smoke testing for daily builds and release candidates
Test seller onboarding flows, event creation, inventory setup, and seller tools
Validate buyer features including joining events, bidding, buying, cart updates, and real-time updates
Verify admin tools, event scheduling, moderation controls, and alerts
Ensure compatibility across device types, OS versions, browsers, and network conditions (WiFi/4G/5G)
Identify, document, and prioritize bugs using Jira (epics, stories, sub-tasks)
Work with developers to reproduce, isolate, and validate fixes
Provide quality sign-off for feature launches, migrations, and experiments
Participate in release triage, root cause analysis, and post-mortems
Collaborate with product managers to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
Partner with engineering teams to align on test coverage and quality metrics
Provide real-time support during live-events testing and seller dry-run sessions
Work closely with offshore/nearshore QA teams for parallel test execution
Qualification
Required
3–6 years of manual QA experience for consumer-facing mobile or web applications
Strong experience writing test cases, functional QA, and E2E workflows
Good understanding of client–server architecture, APIs, and debugging tools (Charles, Postman)
Experience with video or real-time streaming products (preferred)
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, TestRail or similar QA management systems
Ability to quickly adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Preferred
Experience testing real-time chat, messaging, or livestreaming features
Background in e-commerce, payments, checkout, or marketplace platforms
Exposure to FGQL/GraphQL debugging (bonus for eBay internal experience)
Comfortable with basic Android Studio/Xcode log debugging
