Vaco by Highspring is seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to lead and manage all HR functions for a growing, multi-state organization. Responsibilities

Serve as the sole HR leader supporting three locations and acting as a trusted advisor to leadership
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and compliance initiatives
Manage employee relations, performance management, terminations, and investigations
Oversee onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes
Lead all benefits administration, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) programs
Partner with brokers and vendors to manage renewals, enrollments, and employee communications
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
Own full-cycle recruiting for warehouse and office roles across NJ, FL, and TN
Manage sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding processes
Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and staffing plans
Review and oversee bi-weekly payroll processing for 90 W-2 employees using Paylocity
Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and coordination with Finance
Support audits and maintain accurate HR records
Coordinate logistics for company meetings, including hotel arrangements
Oversee light fleet management for leased vehicles
Order office and facility supplies for all locations
Travel approximately once per year to each location

Required

Bachelor's degree required
SHRM certification required (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP)
20+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a standalone or highly autonomous role
Strong benefits management experience required
Proven full-cycle recruiting experience across multiple states
Hands-on experience with employee relations, compliance, and HR operations
Payroll oversight experience; Paylocity preferred
Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, multi-location environment
