Responsibilities
Provide clinical & operational leadership across residential and educational environments
Ensure alignment of treatment models across living, learning, and therapeutic settings
Maintain compliance with DCF, DESE, licensing, and accreditation standards
Oversee clinical supervision, documentation standards, and quality improvement activities
Monitor clinical risk, incidents, trends, and outcomes related to residential and school-based services
Partner with educational leadership to ensure student-centered, therapeutic programming
While the primary focus of this role is clinical integration and quality, the Assistant Vice President of Residential & Educational Clinical Services maintains active awareness of census-driven and staffing-related fiscal factors that impact residential and school-based programming
Monitor census trends and clinical capacity within residential and school-linked programs
Collaborate with program leadership to align staffing models with census and acuity
Support accurate clinical documentation practices that align with funding and contractual requirements
Partner with the Vice President of Clinical Services and finance leadership to identify risks and opportunities related to program sustainability
Serve as a senior member of the clinical leadership team
Collaborate closely with residential, educational, and operational leaders
Support staff development, performance management, and succession planning
Contribute to strategic planning related to residential and educational service models
Qualification
Required
7-10 years progressive clinical leadership experience
Master's degree or higher in a clinical discipline (Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field)
Independent clinical licensure (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent)
Preferred
Experience in residential treatment and school based clinical models
