Start in 2026 SpringStantec is looking for an intern for their Fargo, ND location to work primarily within their environmental, engineering, and construction team. The role involves various tasks related to engineering and construction, including construction observation, QA/QC testing, and communication with contractors and clients.

Responsibilities
Serve internal and external clients by being responsive and reliable

Construction observation and documentation, field testing and field measurements (construction CQA)
Construction progress reports and communicate with project team, contractor, and client as required
Soil and water sampling
Assist with drafting, computer modeling, data entry, preparation of construction plans and specifications, technical memos, and reports, as required
Provide support to other groups within Stantec, as business needs dictate and workload allows, for exposure to other disciplines and client types related to engineering and environmental science
Qualification
Required
Ability to work outdoors in various weather and terrain conditions
Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs. and do repetitive work such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time
Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
Strong communication skills and customer service experience
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or related field OR an associate's degree in civil engineering technology or related program
Preferred
Previous construction observation experience
Additional relevant experience including soil testing, surveying, drafting, and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
