Labor Relations Analyst
The California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation is seeking a Labor Relations Analyst. The role involves researching various labor laws and regulations, conducting grievance conferences, and assisting supervisors in responding to grievances while maintaining effective communication with employees and labor representatives.

Responsibilities
Research various Memorandums of Understanding and State Personnel Board laws and rules, Departmental Operations Manual, California Code of Regulations, California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) bulletins, laws and policies of labor administration, all second level grievances
Conducts grievance conferences
Assists institution supervisors in responding to first level grievances
Meets with employees, supervisors, and labor representatives concerning complaints and potential or actual grievances
Qualification
Preferred
Ability to establish and maintain effective and beneficial relationships with internal and external customers
Excellent customer service skills
Demonstrated experience interpreting policies, regulations, and laws
Excellent work ethic, good problem solving, decision-making and critical thinking as well as good written and oral communication skills
Familiar with Bargaining contracts
