Desktop Support Specialist
eTeam is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to provide on-site technical support in Boulder, Colorado. The role involves troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Windows operating systems, network investigations, and providing frontline support for IT services.
Responsibilities
Good knowledge and hands-on experience in Windows operating systems (Win XP, 7, 10 & 11)
PowerShell scripting experience to automate key workstation activities
Knowledge of Self-Help & Self-Heal tools
Strong knowledge of MobileIron & Intune
Understanding of patch deployment & package deployment (SCCM)
Ability to write scripts to configure the self-heal tool for high-volume issues
O365 administration & SharePoint (Cloud)
Network investigation and troubleshooting
Specific infrastructure support functions (e.g., backups, hardware repair)
On-site support for other IT groups (Networking, Computing Services), including on-site asset management, asset tagging, and annual physical asset verification in data centers
Systems administration tasks (monitoring, disk management, computer room maintenance, technical planning, consulting, system imaging & configuration)
Strong knowledge of encryption software (PGP & BitLocker)
Understanding of PKI certificates and infrastructure
Frontline support: call tracking, providing resolutions via phone and desk-side assistance, using call tracking tools, knowledge base, and following standard support processes
Strong OS troubleshooting skills (Windows, Linux & Unix)
Hands-on experience with IMAC activities
Experience with data backup techniques
Knowledge of SCCM (application installation, agent installation, OS deployment, etc.)
Excellent communication skills
Strong customer-handling skills
Win 10 & 11 technical expertise
HP hardware repair skills
Data Center Touch Support experience
Qualification
