Senior Director, Compensation

AFL is a leading manufacturer of fiber optic cable and accessories, and they are seeking a Senior Director of Compensation. This role is responsible for designing and managing global compensation strategies to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices across the organization.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive global compensation strategy aligned with organizational goals
Lead compensation planning cycles, including merit increases, bonus programs, and salary structure adjustments
Lead the design and administration of fixed and variable compensation
Oversee short-term incentive programs, including eligibility, design modeling, and governance
Participate in and help manage field and operational incentives
Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive pay practices
Manage job evaluation processes and maintain job architecture and leveling frameworks
Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, pay equity regulations, and all federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations
Partner with HR, Finance, and leadership to support workforce planning and compensation decisions
Advise senior leaders on compensation-related decisions and implications
Provide data-driven insights and recommendations using compensation analytics and modeling
Monitor compensation trends and proactively recommend strategy adjustments as needed
Prepare reports and presentations for executive leadership

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
10+ years of progressive experience in compensation, preferably with at least 5 years in a manufacturing or industrial setting
Strong knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and regulatory requirements
Proficient in HRIS systems and compensation tools (e.g., UKGPro, Mercer, Payfactors)

Preferred

Master's degree or CCP certification
Experience with executive compensation, equity programs, sales compensation, and global pay structures
Experience advising and working with global HR teams
