Emerging Threat / Digital Surety Project Analyst

Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is an employee-owned international research and engineering company seeking a full-time Emerging Threat / Digital Surety Project Analyst. The role involves supporting the Assistant Secretary of War for Nuclear Deterrence and Chemical and Biological Defense Programs by developing strategic plans and translating technical insights into actionable recommendations for decision-makers.

Responsibilities

Develop strategic plans, data sets, presentations, white papers, and reports to support client requirements
Translate complex technical and intelligence insights into actionable recommendations for senior defense decision-makers
Understanding of information technology threats, and cybersecurity practices
Support meeting preparation and execution, including developing read-aheads and recording minutes
Participate in efforts to assess and manage risks to missions, critical infrastructure, and military services
Engage with technical and non-technical audiences throughout the DoW and across the US Government
Develop additional technical material, such as industry and program guidance, required to develop and transition emerging technologies and cybersecurity solutions

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 3+ years of relevant experience
Without a degree: 10 years of relevant experience in nuclear surety, force protection, cybersecurity, and/or technology development
Knowledgeable of DoW roles, missions, and organizational structure
Expertise in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to manage and prioritize numerous assignments
Familiar with DoW acquisition processes
Experience in interfacing, communicating, and collaborating with government personnel
Excellent research skills
Applicant must hold an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility to perform work for this position

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in a recognized engineering, scientific, technical, management or related discipline that is relevant to the contract
At least 5 years of US Government-related experience with at least three years of recent (within the last five years) experience with addressing high-tech and digital threats, acquisition and program support
At least 3 years of DoW experience in nuclear surety, force protection, cybersecurity, and/or technology development
