Coordinator, Purchasing - Internal Compliance
The College of Southern Nevada is a diverse institution located in the greater Las Vegas area, dedicated to providing an affordable and collaborative educational environment. They are seeking a Coordinator of Purchasing who will ensure compliance with procurement policies and assist in managing the College’s Procurement Card program while working under the Executive Director of Procurement and Auxiliary Services.

Responsibilities
Provide internal compliance and coordinate the College’s Procurement Card (P-Card) program
Ensure that the Purchasing Department is in compliance with Federal and State requirements as well as Nevada System of Higher Education and College policies and procedures
Perform P-Card transaction reviews and assist the Purchasing Department in identifying areas where internal controls need to be defined or revised
Perform various types of reviews to ensure compliance with process, procedure, policy, and internal controls
Collaborate while maintaining objectivity to ensure the best interests of the College are met
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
3 years related professional experience
Preferred
Professional certification such as CPA, CIA, CFE, or CISA
Experience in auditing and/or financial compliance
Experience in procurement related and/or accounts payable and receivable activities (e.g., administering solicitations, issuing purchase orders, contract administration, and review, reconciling ledger accounts, monitoring expenses, running reports, etc.)
Experience in a higher education environment
Familiarity with procurement card programs and merchant category codes (MCCs)
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Banner, Workday)
