Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Journey Group is a full-service construction group headquartered in Sioux Falls, S.D., and they are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team. The CFO will provide leadership across finance, technology, and risk management during a period of accelerated growth.

Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board, providing strategic financial leadership and insight
Lead and develop high-performing teams across finance, accounting, FP&A, IT, legal, and risk management
Partner with executive leadership to drive growth strategy, including M&A and capital investments
Lead acquisition efforts from due diligence through integration
Establish scalable financial systems, controls, and reporting infrastructure
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and performance management
Provide advanced financial modeling, scenario planning, and business analysis
Guide digital transformation, automation, and data analytics initiatives
Ensure strong IT governance, cybersecurity, and business continuity planning
Manage treasury, banking, investor, and capital partner relationships
Establish enterprise risk management and regulatory compliance frameworks
Foster a collaborative, growth-oriented leadership culture
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
Minimum of 5 years in a senior executive role
Proven success leading organizations through significant growth and acquisitions
Experience scaling financial teams, systems, and processes
Strategic mindset with ability to balance long-term vision and execution
Strong financial modeling, analytical, and data-driven decision-making skills
Demonstrated success building and retaining high-performing teams
Forward-thinking approach to technology and innovation
Executive presence with strong influence and communication skills
Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-growth environments
Strong understanding of capital structures, risk management, and governance
Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Office applications
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Preferred
MBA or master's degree in finance, accounting, or economics strongly preferred
Construction or project-based industry experience preferred
