Responsibilities
Lead design, development, and commissioning of automation and robotics systems, including PLCs, HMIs, motion control, and safety systems
Program and optimize robotic operations and control logic (Allen-Bradley, Ignition, Yaskawa/Fanuc/KUKA)
Design, model, and prototype automation systems using 2D/3D CAD; support integration with SCADA and data acquisition tools
Collaborate across Engineering, Operations, and Plant Science teams to define system requirements
Manage vendors and integrators, oversee testing, and troubleshoot systems onsite as needed
Lead small teams and mentor engineers, providing guidance and performance support
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation, or Robotics Engineering
5–7 years in robotics integration, industrial automation, and system integration
Strong PLC/HMI skills (Allen-Bradley required), motion control, pneumatics, SCADA, and industrial networking
Hands-on experience with robot end effector design, CAD, prototyping, and electrical schematics
Proficient in Python or C++
Onsite availability 5 days/week, including occasional nights/weekends for troubleshooting
Preferred
Leadership and team management experience
Strong problem-solving, adaptability, and communication skills
