Office Assistant
BH Garage Door is a well-established garage door general contracting company with a strong reputation with residential customers across Illinois. They are currently seeking an organized and proactive Office Assistant to ensure operations run smoothly by dispatching jobs, assisting with invoicing and billing, and providing administrative support.
Construction
Responsibilities
Coordinate and dispatch jobs to service technicians, ensuring efficient scheduling and communication
Assist in preparing and processing invoices and billing for services rendered
Maintain accurate records of job assignments, technician schedules, and customer information
Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
Support the office with general administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies
Collaborate with team members to improve workflow and enhance customer service
Assist in tracking payments and following up with clients as needed
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in office administration is a plus
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with office software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build positive relationships
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records
Preferred
Previous experience in an administrative or office assistant role preferred
