Responsibilities
Prepare and post all payroll and benefits-related entries to the general ledger
Payroll/benefit analysis as-needed
Assist with timely and accurate month-end closing duties
Assist with product costing/analysis
Preparation, posting, and analysis of Excess & Obsolete (E&O) Inventory
Assist with all audits as needed
Perform cost variance analysis
Assist with preparation and loading of budgets and forecasts
Work with the organization to ensure SOX compliance is maintained
Qualification
Required
BBA in Accounting from accredited college or university, and 1+ years experience in a Cost Accounting position with a manufacturing company
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Windows based accounting packages is required
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Technical skills in account reconciliation, cost analysis, and month-end close responsibilities
Excellent understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Excellent communication skills with internal and external customers and at all levels within the organization
Proven business/financial analysis skills with commitment to drive initiatives
Preferred
Experience with integrated operational finance systems
