Legal Systems Administrator
Thompson Hine LLP, an AmLaw 200 firm, is seeking a Legal Systems Administrator to join their Silicon Valley office. The role involves providing technical support, maintaining network servers, and collaborating on firm-wide IS projects to ensure effective IT service delivery.
Responsibilities
Provide Technical Support : Offer software and hardware support and troubleshooting to all users, ensuring timely resolution of issues. Fulfill common IT service requests
Communication and Coordination : Keep Help Desk staff and IS personnel informed of support issue status. Maintain open communication with the Office Administrator and Partner in Charge
Collaboration : Work closely with System Support Specialists and serve as a point of contact for other IS groups
Network and System Maintenance : Maintain network servers as needed and manage backup tape rotation
Voice and Video Systems : Handle voice system moves, adds, and changes, and manage video conference equipment and associated meetings
Asset Management : Organize PC, Laptop, and Printer refresh, manage IS inventory and assets
Service Desk Management : Create, update, and close tickets in the problem management system (Service Desk)
Project Participation : Assist in Firm-wide IS projects and support the Employment Status Publication (ESP) process
Customer Service : Understand user problems and own them through resolution, meeting service levels of quality and response. Maintain professional relationships with end users and peers
Remote Support : Provide remote user access support (E-mail and Citrix)
Cost Efficiency : Identify cost savings opportunities
Adapt to new technologies and/or add new job duties as directed
Qualification
Required
High School or equivalent required
5 years of experience providing IS support to users
A+ certification
MCP certification
CompTia certification
Ability to learn quickly
Ability to troubleshoot application problems
Resolve hardware issues with PCs, laptops and printers
Network administration skills
Customer service focus
Team player
Excellent customer service skills and telephone etiquette are mandatory
Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job
Possesses interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with a diverse group of employees
Ability to handle tasks under pressure
Ability to adjust work schedule to work other hours, as required
Growth mindset to enhance emotional intelligence, empathy and an understanding of inclusion and belonging practices that support managing and collaborating across differences
This position requires the employee to work at a specified location and hours determined by the Manager for the benefit of the department and firm. Changes to the location and/or scheduled hours must be approved by the Manager
