IT Manager
Summit Companies is the nation’s leading fire protection company, seeking an IT Manager to coordinate and lead computer-related activities. The role involves overseeing IT infrastructure, managing teams, and ensuring compliance with IT policies and asset management.

Responsibilities
Lead large IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services
Ensure Asset management policies are complied with for all hardware that has a hard drive
Monitor the performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure
Responsible for lifecycle and capacity management
Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes
Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise IT infrastructure, systems, and applications; manage cross-functional teams in deploying scalable, secure solutions aligned with organizational architecture standards and business objectives
Participate in security program changes and new methodologies when introduced
Assess vendors and maintain all contracts
Consulting with other business units in the interest of IT improvements as outlined herein and as directed
Responsible for ITSM practices in alignment with ITIL framework, Incident Problem and change management
Implementation of a CMDB and ensuring policies and processes are in place to keep it accurate
Developing and maintaining IT SOPs
Developing and maintaining IT Training guides, user and support specialists
Coordinating manpower efforts with IT Acquisitions and the Training department for IT Support
Working with the Director of IT Operations to Project Manage Large IT changes
Working with the Director of IT Operations with vendors, contracts, and technology changes as needed to further the interests of the company
Working with the Director of IT Operations with personnel issues, staffing, training, and team building
Conduct regular system audits & ensure compliance
Maintain and assist with disaster recovery planning
Ensuring proper communications are going out to the end users as needed for outages, be it expected or unexpected
Work with the Director of IT Operations to maintain a budget sheet of all running costs and annual changes to cost
Work with the IT Budget and Spend analyst(s) to ensure accurate and trackable spend
Attend meetings as directed or applicable
Enforce and measure compliance to IT policies
Other duties may be assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, required; or equivalent work experience
10 years IT Service Operations management, required
Ability to operate a computer and use Microsoft Office, required
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required
Must be able to comply with Summit's Drug and Alcohol policy and Background screening requirements, which may also include customer specific requirements based on contractual agreement
Must have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees and customers
Proficient in IT designs, processes, procedures
Preferred
Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or similar, preferred
5 years Microsoft Server/Azure/Office product lines, preferred
