Paralegal

They are seeking a Paralegal to support their Legal & Compliance team, assisting with legal documentation, compliance requirements, and managing potential legal risks.

Responsibilities
Effectively manage a large, diverse workload while balancing competing priorities and deadlines
Draft, review, and organize a variety of legal correspondence and related documentation
Conduct legal research across a range of subject areas to support attorneys and compliance initiatives
Provide comprehensive administrative support and perform clerical duties as assigned, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
Coordinate with in‑house counsel to issue, track, and monitor legal holds in accordance with established procedures
Manage subpoena requests, including compiling, organizing, and producing responses
Support compliance and regulatory special projects and perform related duties as assigned
Monitor the legal status of corporate entities and coordinate required filings with applicable government agencies
Assist company professionals with maintaining required licenses, registrations, and accreditations
Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support evolving departmental strategies and objectives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience within a law firm or in-house legal department, preferably within the finance or real estate industries
Experience in subject matter areas of support, including litigation, business law, and employment law
Experience in maintaining calendars and coordinating meetings
General familiarity with loan documents, including mortgages, loan agreements, promissory notes, servicing agreements, and related ancillary transaction documents
Highly collaborative in nature, with the ability to work effectively across legal, compliance and business teams
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
Demonstrated decision-making abilities, sound independent judgment, and a strong understanding of organizational operations and business needs
Ability to take ownership of tasks and projects while effectively problem-solving and prioritizing workflow
Strong written and verbal communication skills, paired with interpersonal skills that support collaboration and help minimize conflict
Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond to changing priorities and meet critical deadlines
Preferred
Paralegal certification
Knowledge of federal rules and regulations pertaining to privacy, lending, loan servicing
