Responsibilities

Work closely with commercial and investment banks, insurance companies, debt funds, and other regulated and non‑regulated lenders on a wide range of commercial real estate finance transactions

Support clients through all stages of loan origination secured by commercial properties

Review and analyze key diligence materials such as title, survey, and lease documentation

Ensure transactions align with regulatory, structural, and market standards

Work on both traditional senior secured lending and, depending on experience, mezzanine financings, loan participations, syndications, and securitizations

Required

J.D. from an accredited law school

Admission to practice in the jurisdiction of the role (or ability to waive in)

Experience representing commercial and investment banks, insurance companies, debt funds, or similar lenders in financing commercial properties

Hands-on experience conducting due diligence on title, survey, leases, and other commercial real estate documents

Experience working on the origination of loans secured by commercial properties

Strong drafting, negotiation, and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a high-performing environment

Excellent communication skills and comfort interacting with sophisticated institutional clients

Preferred

Exposure to mezzanine loans, CMBS, CRE CLOs, loan securitization, or loan syndication is strongly preferred
