Services Review Manager, DHHS
NEOGOV is part of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), and they are seeking a Service Review Manager. This role involves coordinating quality reviews for internal operational units, supervising a team, and providing recommendations to improve service quality.

Responsibilities
Sets goals, establishes priorities, manages resources, develops concepts and approaches, reviews project progress and results, makes management decisions
Coordinates and conducts internal reviews of DHHS Operational Units. These reviews include Child and Family Service Review (CFSR+). Case Process Reviews (CPR), and Juvenile Justice and Youth Services Quality Service Review (QSR)
Works closely with federal partners and DCFS and JJYS quality improvement staff to make practice recommendations based on review outcomes
Supervises subordinate personnel including: hiring, determining workload and delegating assignments, training, monitoring and evaluating performance, and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions
Compile data, develop reports, and present findings to management, various public officials, or senior professionals
Participates in establishing direction, goals, and policies. Meets with agency managers and directors to determine needs and challenges
Ensures compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines, etc
Qualification
Required
communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely in writing; read and understand information presented in writing
speak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen to and understand information and ideas as presented verbally
supervise others by assigning/directing work, conducting employee evaluations, overseeing staff training and development, taking appropriate disciplinary/corrective actions, making hiring/termination recommendations, etc
develop and/or implement new policies/procedures/standards and/or rules/regulations
principles, theories, and practices of personnel/human resource management
applicable laws, rules, regulations and/or policies and procedures
principles, theories, and practices of budget management
ensure compliance with contract terms, policies and procedures, etc
agency objectives, organization, structure and mission
deliver presentations or training using acceptable methods and techniques
Preferred
Preference may be given to applicants certified as a CFSR+/QSR reviewer, a mentor reviewer, or experience conducting other quality reviews at a state or federal level
Preference may be given to those with supervisor experience
Preference may be given to those with experience in Practice Improvement, Quality Assurance (QA), Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and performance analysis
Preference may be given to those with skills in using Microsoft Office (Excel), Google Suites, SAFE (DCFS), and Care(JJYS)
Preference may be given to those who have experience working in child welfare or juvenile justice positions
