Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Associate - Multiple Offices
Troutman Pepper Locke LLP is seeking an attorney to join its Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation (EBEC) subgroup of its Tax & Benefits practice group. The role involves supporting client teams on matters related to tax-qualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans, and executive compensation, including M&A transactions.
Law Practice
Responsibilities
Drafting plan documents
Assisting with corrections
Negotiating vendor agreements
Supporting transactional work, including compensation- and benefits-related due diligence and preparation of related disclosure schedules
Preparing and reviewing materials for fiduciary committee meetings
Analyzing client questions, conducting related research, and drafting related responses
Qualification
Required
3–6 years of experience as an attorney
Licensed and in good standing in the state in which they practice
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to review, analyze, and apply detailed regulations
Preferred
Based in Atlanta, Houston, New York, or Richmond; exceptional candidates in other markets may also be considered
