Responsibilities
Responsible for daily operations of an assigned segment of the department to ensure accurate, timely and compliant billing, follow-up, denial management, and collections or account resolution, always focusing on the patient’s experience
Requires intense coordination with facilities or clinic sites and supporting vendors
Management and supervision of billing, collection, accounts receivable, and/or other staff
Knowledge of accounting and reporting practices
Development of policies and procedures related to the billing and collection process
Establishing and maintaining client linkages and service parameters
Hospital-based leaders may have a dual matrixed reporting structure
Qualification
Required
BA or BS required, four (4) years of experience in lieu of degree will be considered. Preferred area of focus Business, Finance, or Accounting
Minimum five (5) years Accounts Receivable/Patient Billing/Cash Management experience required
Minimum two (2) years of accounting or finance experience
Minimum three (3) years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity required
