Senior Platform Engineer - Oracle Government, Defense & Intelligence (GDI)

Responsibilities
Architect and optimize: Design, build, and tune resilient data pipelines and platform architectures for high-volume, mission systems
Engineer for scale and reliability: Tackle performance, scalability, and Linux-level troubleshooting; leverage containers/Kubernetes to deliver resilient services
Automate everything: Use Python and shell scripting to streamline operations, CI/CD, and observability for faster, safer delivery
Collaborate across the mission: Partner with data scientists, DBAs, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver clear, documented solutions that stand up to production realities
Qualification
Required
MUST possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain an Active TS/SCI with Poly
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
8+ years in data engineering, ETL, or database/platform management building enterprise-scale mission systems (federal preferred)
Strong expertise with Oracle Database technologies
Proficiency with Linux performance analysis and troubleshooting
Hands-on experience with containers/Kubernetes
Proven design and implementation of large-scale ETL/data pipelines and transformations
Scripting/automation with Python and shell
Familiarity with data governance, metadata, and lineage
Excellent written and verbal communication
Preferred
Knowledge of data security best practices and regulatory compliance
DevOps and CI/CD pipelines in data engineering contexts
Oracle certifications (e.g., OCP, Oracle Big Data)
Experience supporting Intelligence Community programs
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and innovation skills

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
