Fire Inspection Technician
The Bexar Company is an established and rapidly growing commercial fire protection company seeking experienced Fire Alarm Technicians to join its Bay Area team. The role involves servicing, inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire alarm systems to ensure they operate at the highest standards.
Responsibilities
Service, inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm systems in accordance with code and manufacturer standards
Perform on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs
Program and commission fire alarm systems
Identify code issues, deficiencies, and non-conformance items
Accurately complete service tickets, inspection reports, and documentation
Support installations, tenant improvements (TI’s), retrofits, and system upgrades as needed
Maintain truck inventory to ensure fast and effective service response
Deliver exceptional customer service while working independently in the field
Qualification
Required
5+ years of hands-on fire alarm experience
Strong programming and troubleshooting capabilities
Experience with service, installation, TI's, and system retrofits
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, and technical documentation
Proficiency with test equipment (multimeters, analyzers, commissioning devices)
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
High School Diploma
Preferred
Fire Alarm License preferred
Exposure to CCTV, intrusion systems, and access control is a plus
