Responsibilities
Defining security requirements assessments and recommendations
Operational management of key zero trust enabling technologies such as Secure Service Edge capabilities
Leading projects
Security best practices
Security Automation
Zero trust principles and implementation strategies
Technology serving zero trust pillars
Ability to write and maintain technical documentation, including reference architectures and implementation plans
Oversee and report on progress towards Zero Trust
Participate in solution analysis and comparison to as it relates to zero trust maturity model (Five pillars: Identity, Device, Network/Environment, Application Workload, and Data)
Lead projects to implement technical solutions that address the mandated zero trust requirements
Coordinate with other teams
Advocate for Zero Trust
Plan and execute multiple projects
Mentor and participate in the development of a team of zero trust engineers
Partner with appropriate stakeholders to classify applications and services based on risk, data types and use cases relevant to Zero Trust
Support other Security Engineering efforts such as development and testing of automation
Qualification
Required
Understand zero trust at application and network level
Possess strong experience with Zscaler product suite (ZIA, DLP, CASB, and ZPA)
Enterprise experience
Networking background
In-depth technical knowledge of complex enterprise environments including the implementation and troubleshooting of security solutions
Hands on experience and knowledge in a broad range of security platforms/tools and services/components like Next Generation Firewall (NGFW), Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Security Posture Management (SPM), Vulnerability Assessment (VA), Attack Surface Management (ASM), etc
Hands on experience with web, endpoint, and email data loss prevention solutions
Act as a subject matter expert on Zero Trust components and services such as DLP, Sandbox, ATP, CASB, Browser Isolation, Private Access App Connectors, URL and Cloud Application Control
Working experience or knowledge of multi-cloud environments, cloud-native services, complex integrations
Ability to perform work independently with a high degree of initiative and problem-solving skills
Strong technical aptitude, attention to detail and high commitment to quality
Proficient in writing/creation of formal documentation such as reports, slide decks, and architecture diagrams
Demonstrated knowledge in implementing and maintaining secure cloud configurations including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS)
Demonstrated proficiency in identifying security risks, assessing gaps and implementing solutions
Demonstrated proficiency in implementing and optimizing security controls and processes
Demonstrated ability to perform a risk-based approach to Zero Trust in alignment with business goals and requirements
Proven ability to create and maintain technical documentation
Broad knowledge of information security principles and practices
Understanding of the threat landscape facing enterprise healthcare
Understanding of the regulatory requirements impacting healthcare
Knowledge of security incident response processes
Proficiency with Identity and Access Management, including provisioning and authentication
Preferred
Healthcare experience a plus
Zscaler certs a plus
Experience with ZTBA (Zero Trust Branch Appliance) - They are in the middle of deploying it now
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Global Information Assurance Certification – General Security (GSEC) or equivalent
Certifications such as Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or Certified Cloud Architect (CCA) or equivalent
