Responsibilities
Develop and maintain resilient data pipelines using Python, SQL, Spark, and Databricks
Design and implement batch and near real-time data workflows
Define and enforce data quality standards, policies, and procedures
Conduct data quality assessments and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Implement data validation, cleansing, and monitoring processes
Model versioned action and reference data using Delta Lake
Integrate data pipelines with backend systems and decision engines using Kafka or similar event streaming tools
Manage and optimize data orchestration frameworks such as Airflow or Prefect
Collaborate closely with backend, product, and analytics teams to ensure scalable and well-governed data products
Monitor and report data quality metrics and provide actionable insights
Qualification
Required
Advanced experience with Spark (6–9 years)
Strong Python data engineering experience
Strong SQL skills
Proven experience as a Data Architect
Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Hands-on experience with Databricks and Delta Lake
Knowledge of schema evolution, backward compatibility, and data governance
Preferred
AWS Data Engineering
GCP Data Engineering
Experience with Kafka or comparable event streaming technologies
Experience working in regulated or healthcare environments
