Responsibilities
Process weekly payroll, including payroll taxes, 401(k) contributions, and child support/garnishment deductions
Prepare and submit weekly certified payroll reports
Assist in processing union wage increases and related adjustments
Maintain monthly OCIP/CCIP and CPR reporting requirements
Process employee information updates (e.g., direct deposit, tax withholding, 401(k) changes, personal information)
Process monthly union reporting
Handle monthly apprentice school billings for Local 494
Handle semi-annual apprentice school billings for Locals 127 & 430
Respond to verifications of employment as directed by the Payroll Manager
Assist with unemployment claim responses as directed by the Payroll Manager
Process missed time adjustments and employee layoffs
Assist the Payroll Manager with audits, miscellaneous assignments and special projects as needed
Qualification
Required
Experience in processing payroll
Knowledge of federal and state wage laws
Ability to maintain accurate employee records
Strong organizational skills
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to handle payroll inquiries from field and office staff
Experience with certified payroll reporting
Familiarity with union wage increases and related adjustments
Ability to process employee information updates
Experience with monthly union reporting
Ability to handle apprentice school billings
Experience with unemployment claim responses
Ability to assist with audits and special projects
