NEOGOV is seeking a Statewide Training Specialist 1 for the Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry & Fire Protection. This role involves providing high-quality training to support staff and firefighters across Alaska, ensuring a well-trained workforce for wildland fire management.

Responsibilities
Provide high-quality training to support staff and firefighters
Work closely with Regional Training Specialists and Fire Management Officers
Support on-site training or incident response across Alaska
Qualification
Required
Education and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in teaching others, interpersonal skills, and writing
Training or education in training and development, human resources, education, instructional design, business administration, social sciences, or a related field
Experience in the training-subject and/or the agencies' programs; human resources; teaching or facilitating learning; assisting with developing or revising training materials, assisting in assessing training needs, and/or assisting in evaluating training effectiveness

Valid driver's license
This position requires travel both in and out of state, approximately 3-5 times a year
For individuals with NWCG qualifications, fire-related assignments of 14-21 days are normal
