Responsibilities
Support Structured Cabling Systems, including Communications Equipment Rooms (MER & TR), cabling pathways, and environmental requirements
Develop project documentation for start and close-out phases, including As-Built archives and internal hand-off materials
Participate in needs assessments, project design meetings, and IT-focused discussions with architects, engineers, and stakeholders
Provide structured cabling requirements, specifications, and scope to internal teams and external contractors
Support project budgeting across all stages (initial estimates, preliminary design, final contract documents)
Coordinate and oversee structured cabling installation, serving as the single point-of-contact for cabling-related activities
Ensure compliance and oversight for non-network cabling infrastructure to maintain enterprise standards
Support budgeting and implementation of Room UPS systems within MERs and TRs to maintain network and telecom equipment
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of structured cabling standards (LAN/WAN, wired & wireless) and components such as MER, TR, backbone, and horizontal cabling
Ability to manage project start and close-out documentation, maintain As-Built archives, and provide internal hand-off materials
Experience supporting project budgeting across multiple stages and coordinating with vendors and contractors for quotes and reconciliation
Capability to provide technical support for cabling installations, UPS systems, and ensure compliance with enterprise standards
Strong interpersonal skills to engage with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal IT teams during design meetings and implementation phases
