Responsibilities

Focus on several key aspects of silicon carbide (SiC) circuit design interacting with internal and external users
Involve all aspects of design and fabrication readiness including but not limited to: design, verification, and characterization of standard libraries and test structures
Implementation and support of process design kits (PDKs), and reticle compilation and mask generation
Familiarity with analog, mixed-signal and digital design principles and methods, electronic design automation tools for IC design such as those from Cadence and Siemens
Familiarity with test and measurement methods and equipment for benchtop IC testing
Desirable to have basic knowledge of power semiconductor devices for layout and PDK generation in power semiconductor device processes
Knowledge of silicon IC design is a fundamental requirement with SiC IC design experience desirable
Excellent communication skills and patience for teaching the fundamentals of SiC design and fabrication to prospective users
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others

Required

The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in computer, electrical, or mechanical engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education
At least two years of experience in engineering relating to work performed in silicon IC circuit design
At least one year of experience in a customer facing role teaching or mentoring IC design skills
At least two years of experience with 2D design software packages
At least two years of experience with design rule checks and run set generation
US citizenship required

Preferred

Basic knowledge of power semiconductor devices for layout and PDK generation in power semiconductor device processes
SiC IC design experience
Proof of Veteran Status
