Responsibilities
Leads planning, implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity controls across IT and OT environments
Direct daily security operations, including incident response, vulnerability management, threat monitoring, disaster recovery and cyber configuration oversight for IT/OT systems
Supports and orchestrates the development and maintenance of the Certification and Accreditation package in a DOE cyber security environment
Develop, update, and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures and governance documentation
Conduct and oversee risk assessments, security architecture reviews, and continuous monitoring activities
Coordinate with executives, system owners, service providers and auditors to ensure compliance with NIST, DOE and other regulatory requirements
Manage cybersecurity staff, contractors, and service providers, including workload prioritization, performance oversight and professional development
Prepare and deliver reports, dashboards, and briefings for leadership, governance bodies and oversight organizations
Support enterprise planning efforts, including cybersecurity roadmaps, budget development and resource allocation

Qualification
Required
BS in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent field and progressive professional experience
Demonstrated background in audit readiness, compliance assessments, and corrective action planning
Demonstrated experience developing cyber security maturity models, roadmaps and executive level reporting
Experience securing government cloud environments (e.g. Azure GCC/GCCH)
Experience with OT/ICS cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST SP 800-82
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC or cloud security certifications
Experience implementing Zero Trust principles and modern identity architectures
Demonstrated leadership skills with progressive responsibly
Experience working in a federally regulated environment
Experience working in a Department of Energy regulated environment
Preferred
Advanced degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance or related discipline
