Broadcast Systems Engineer
Turning Point for God is the broadcast ministry of Dr. David Jeremiah, focused on delivering the Word of God through media. The Broadcast Systems Engineer will collaborate with production staff to ensure the functionality and performance of broadcast production equipment, supporting various media and event production schedules.

Responsibilities
Collaborates with production staff to identify and troubleshoot technical issues and opportunities as they arise
Coordinates maintenance scheduling with staff members, in consideration of production deadlines, providing engineering support with the goal of minimal downtime and interruptions
Documents, manages and performs installation and maintenance on audio, video, lighting and electrical equipment, ensuring stability of systems
Documents, manages and maintains production computer and network systems configurations
Performs scheduled preventative maintenance on TPHQ production servers, SAN and data backup systems, ensuring operational stability and performance
Coordinates and performs scheduled OS and application updates on desktop production systems, ensuring stability between core software applications and software ad-ins (plug-ins)
Assists in planning, design, documentation, implementation and maintenance of production systems improvements including servers, software applications, production networking and facilities wiring
The EIC for TPHQ studio or location shoots is responsible to ensure readiness of Broadcast recording equipment and systems (cameras, video recorders, audio systems, etc.) and shall coordinate with and support the Production Manager, Studio Media Producer, Director and Lead Audio Engineer (and additional assigned team leads) to ensure expected setup/strike and operation of equipment to achieve highest quality video and audio recordings and live broadcasts
Assists and supports the Turning Point Studios Media Manager with data ingest, archival and restoration
Responsible for ensuring operational readiness of the mobile unit and its connected systems (cameras, video recorders, audio systems, etc.) for weekly Sunday and/or Saturday acquisition of services for Turning Point at Shadow Mountain Community Church
Identifies, documents, performs or outsources routine and preventative maintenance on physical trailer systems (brakes, suspension, wheels, air lines, roofing, HVAC, power system, etc.)
Coordinates with and supports the Television Senior Producer / Director and Audio Engineer to ensure high-quality broadcast recordings
Qualification
Required
At least five (5) years in broadcast production operations and engineering with an advanced understanding of broadcast and IT systems (Broadcast Audio/Video Hardware, Windows/Mac OS Workstations, Windows/Linux Servers, Networking via Ethernet and Fiber) required
Must have a passion for engineering and problem resolution, possessing advanced communication and troubleshooting skills with a tenacity to engage internal and/or external technical resources for rapid and effective problem resolution
Must be a self-motivated, collaborative team player that is willing, able and flexible to work overtime, nights, and weekends when necessary
Willing and able to be scheduled as EIC for primary broadcast acquisition during services on Sundays and/or Saturdays year-round at Shadow Mountain Community Church
Willing and able to travel to TPFG locations throughout the year, as necessary, with travel to location shoots/productions infrequently
Willing and able to lift/push/pull equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
Highly proficient in utilizing schematics and line drawings to understand complex signal flows, identify and solve problems, and create new solutions or workarounds
Intermediate proficiency with updating and creating schematics and line drawings using drawing / flowchart software programs such as AutoCAD, WireCAD, VisualCAD and/or Visio
Familiarity with baseline installation and initial operational testing of Post-Production software applications such as Avid Pro Tools, Avid Media Composer, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects), DaVinci Resolve
Experienced installation engineer with excellent previsualization skills and meticulous attention to detail
Preferred
2-4 Year Degree in Engineering, Electronics or Broadcast Production is preferred
