Responsibilities
Review incoming mail and faxed documents, including subpoenas and other legal notices, and route them appropriately
Process subpoenas and pharmacy record requests in accordance with HIPAA regulations and company policies
Retrieve patient health information from multiple databases accurately and efficiently
Prepare legal affidavits attesting to the authenticity and completeness of records provided
Bill and collect fees associated with pharmacy records services
Track and document non-routine disclosures of protected health information
Provide guidance to store teams regarding proper release of patient health information
Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the contract period
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an office or administrative environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and Mail Merge
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Dependable with strong critical-thinking skills
Preferred
Experience with medical records or health information management
Knowledge of HIPAA laws and privacy regulations
Experience using Microsoft Access and Adobe Pro
Strong problem-solving skills
