This role is responsible for overseeing the modernization of a legacy reporting and compliance system, focusing on automation and improved business functionality.

Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end delivery of a major enterprise modernization project
Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, presentations, and required artifacts
Provide weekly written and verbal status updates and facilitate regular project team meetings
Present project status, risks, and issues to executive leadership and oversight bodies
Escalate risks and issues in a timely manner and drive mitigation plans
Act as a primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams
Ensure compliance with established project governance frameworks and standards
Oversee development of SDLC artifacts and ensure business requirements are clearly documented and met
Track development progress and ensure milestones align with approved timelines
Maintain risk, issue, and contingency logs and remove project impediments
Provide limited on-call support during critical project phases, as needed
Qualification
Required
10+ years of project management experience delivering large-scale enterprise IT implementations
8+ years managing projects in state, federal, or similarly regulated environments
Proven experience leading legacy system modernization initiatives
Strong knowledge of PMI-based project management practices
Ability to communicate complex technical solutions and business processes clearly
Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and leadership skills
Preferred
Experience working within structured government project delivery frameworks
Familiarity with statewide or enterprise-level systems
Experience with low-code / no-code platforms
Knowledge of formal quality assurance, oversight, or audit processes for major IT projects
