Responsibilities
Work closely in a small, cross-functional team of 3-4 people focused on our AI/ML systems
Collaborate closely with product managers and other stakeholders to understand customer pain points and deliver impactful solutions that support critical features
Build, deploy, and integrate models that can generalize across diverse document formats and adapt to evolving customer needs
Ensure models operate within strict latency requirements to ensure seamless customer experiences, while maintaining high performance in extracting and classifying data from complex, unstructured documents
Explore new techniques in deep learning, transfer learning, and model optimization to improve the accuracy and efficiency of our systems
Qualification
Required
Experience with Python and Clojure for ML experimentation, data processing, and deployments
Experience with Ruby and other languages for integrating models into customer-facing applications
Experience with PySpark for data processing
Experience with AWS SageMaker Studio for model development and validation
Experience with PyTorch + HuggingFace for deep learning work
Ability to build, deploy, and integrate models that can generalize across diverse document formats
Ability to adapt to evolving customer needs
Ability to operate within strict latency requirements
Ability to maintain high performance in extracting and classifying data from complex, unstructured documents
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Strong communication skills to proactively communicate issues and trade-offs with team members
Preferred
Leading an engineering team or running a consulting company
Experience with end-to-end model development, validation, deployment, and integration
