Responsibilities

Responsible for the ARC 3.5m Telescope, instruments, and participates as a member of the 3.5m Engineering team
Daily engineering support of telescope and instrument operations, maintenance and repairs
Lead and perform summer engineering activities and preventative maintenance or equipment, optics and instrumentation
Identify engineering upgrades and improvements including CAD design, modeling and coordinating with manufacturing or machinists
Supervise engineering staff to maintain and improve facilities
Document and archive all mechanical, optical and electronic models, drawings, assemblies as well as creating procedures, reviewing design reviews and leading schedules, participating in meetings and regular reporting to the Director of Operations
