Responsibilities

Support upstream DS PD activities by preparing and organizing critical consumables for use in tissue culture suites and bioreactor bays
Prepare custom tubing sets and assemblies used in bioreactor operations; package and sterilize assemblies via autoclaving as instructed
Assist with the preparation and aliquoting of pre-made cell culture media
Provide periodic support to cell culture media manufacturing operations as needed
Perform routine bioreactor manipulations, including sampling, metabolite analysis, cell counts, and media exchanges, during weekday operations
Participate in rotating weekend coverage to support ongoing cell culture and bioreactor studies
Record real-time observations, data, and measurements following established procedures, work instructions, job aids, and SOPs
Maintain high standards of safety and compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, and company EHS guidelines

Required

B.S. with 2+ years of relevant experience, or M.S. with 0+ years of experience in a biology-, chemistry-, or engineering-focused discipline
Prior experience working in a BSL1+ wet laboratory environment
Demonstrated proficiency in aseptic technique and hands-on work in biosafety cabinets
Strong foundation in mammalian cell culture
Experience operating bioreactors, peristaltic pumps, and TPE tube welders
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and troubleshoot experimental issues
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to design experiments, interpret data, maintain accurate records, and follow procedural documentation
Ability to work independently and collaboratively; demonstrates motivation, adaptability, and a positive, team-oriented attitude
Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred

Experience working with stem cells in a BSL2+ environment
Familiarity with electronic lab notebook (ELN) documentation systems
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
