Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted operational partner to senior stakeholders, ensuring seamless management of client relationships and financial processes
Act as a primary contact for client finance teams, delivering clear, professional communication aligned with organizational service standards
Prepare, review, and finalize monthly billing, proactively resolving discrepancies and ensuring adherence to client-specific guidelines
Support internal teams with time-entry guidance and respond to billing- or matter-related inquiries
Manage third-party/vendor expense documentation, including verification, organization, and confidentiality-appropriate redaction
Participate in collections efforts by monitoring outstanding accounts, coordinating follow-up, and escalating matters as needed
Conduct periodic client/matter reviews to confirm accuracy of engagement terms and system information
Oversee engagement-letter administration, ensuring timely issuance, proper execution, and compliance with internal requirements
Provide ongoing updates and reporting on billing, collections, and client financial status
Maintain accurate records in accordance with organizational policies and applicable regulations
Qualification
Required
4+ years of Legal Billing & Collections experience within high volume environment
Excellent communication (both written & verbal)
Experience communicating directly with Partners regarding billing matters - required
Must be detail oriented
Strong Excel skills
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred, but not required dependent on experience
Experience with Aderant billing software is preferred
