Director/ExecutiveServingSchools is seeking a dynamic, student-centered and relationship-driven leader to join their vibrant school community as the District Director of Special Services. The role involves providing leadership across schools and programs, supporting staff, and advocating for students and public education.

Responsibilities
Provide clear, compassionate leadership across all schools and programs
Support a dedicated staff focused on doing what is best for all students every day
Partner closely with the other administrators to guide district priorities
Strengthen family and community relationships through transparent communication
Serve as an advocate for children, educators, and public education across the RSU 10 region
Qualification
Required
Inspiring and visible leaders who value relationships and teamwork
Experienced special educators with a track record of successful leadership at the building or district level
Student-centered visionaries who believe all children can succeed with the right supports
Skilled communicators who build trust, foster collaboration, and engage authentically with staff, families, and community members
Thoughtful managers with experience in special education budgeting, and developing human resources
Committed to ensuring each student has a continuum of programs and services to allow them to reach their potential
Preferred
Maine Administrator of Special Education certification (or eligibility)
