Responsibilities

Develop solar and energy storage projects
Guide project development through early, mid, and/or late stages
Ensure alignment of projects with the company’s long-term goals and strategic plans
Identify potential development opportunities by conducting market assessments, recognizing potential issues, and performing preliminary site evaluations
Secure land rights for development opportunities, including negotiating leases, easements, and other agreements with property owners
Facilitate communication with landowners
Take the lead in acquiring necessary local, state, and/or federal permits
Act as a representative of BrightNight's customers, landowners, state and local authorities, and other key stakeholders
Manage project interconnection activities
Lead project budgeting and scheduling
Oversee tasks to ensure they meet budgetary and timeline requirements, coordinating both internal and external technical resources

Required

At least 8 years of renewables development experience
Currently residing in or near the states where projects are located (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana)
Experience in developing solar and energy storage projects
Ability to guide project development through early, mid, and/or late stages
Experience in ensuring alignment of projects with the company's long-term goals and strategic plans
Ability to identify potential development opportunities by conducting market assessments, recognizing potential issues, and performing preliminary site evaluations
Experience in securing land rights for development opportunities, including negotiating leases, easements, and other agreements with property owners
Ability to facilitate communication with landowners
Experience in acquiring necessary local, state, and/or federal permits
Ability to act as a representative of BrightNight's customers, landowners, state and local authorities, and other key stakeholders
