Responsibilities
Conduct hands-on testing, sampling, and inspection of coatings products and processes to ensure compliance with client requirements and company standards
Supervise and mentor the QC team(6), fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement
Develop and refine quality control procedures, ensuring proper handling, storage, and testing of chemical materials
Troubleshoot and resolve quality-related issues using tools like Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
Create and maintain SOP’s and KPI’s
Collaborate with production teams to optimize processes and uphold consistent product quality
Work on the bench as needed
Find substitute raw materials
Qualification
Required
4+ years as a Chemist or in QC
Proven experience in quality control within a chemical manufacturing environment. (Paint, coating, adhesives experience would be great but pharma or other chemical manufacturing is also acceptable)
In-depth knowledge of QC methodologies and regulatory standards for chemicals
Familiarity with laboratory testing equipment and techniques used in chemical quality assurance
